Research with purpose
Katmandu Macro Advisory, research arm of the Katmandu Journal, is open to undertaking rigorous, independent research collaborations across Nepal’s private and development sectors.
As public debate grows more data-driven and policy questions more complex, serious analysis matters. The Katmandu Journal now operates a dedicated research division capable of producing original, evidence-based work across sectors—including banking and financial services, private equity and venture capital, development finance, infrastructure, agriculture, technology, energy and governance.
Katmandu Macro Advisory welcomes collaboration with:
Banks and financial institutions
PE/VC funds and investment firms
NGOs and development organisations
Industry associations
Corporate houses across sectors
Research engagements may include sector diagnostics, policy analysis, market studies, white papers, impact assessments, regulatory reviews and strategic economic reporting. All projects are conducted with analytical independence, methodological transparency and professional discretion.
Our approach combines journalistic clarity with academic rigour—translating complex data into actionable insight. Whether commissioned research or independently initiated studies on behalf of sector stakeholders, the goal is the same: to elevate the quality of economic and institutional debate in Nepal.
Organisations interested in research partnerships or commissioned studies are invited to engage with the editorial and research team at [email protected] to explore potential collaboration. ■
