We are looking for interns to contribute to our finance and economics coverage. The internship will be remote, unpaid and selective, with the possibility of a full-time offer for those who excel. A curiosity about economics and global affairs is valuable, though not required. Familiarity with analytics tools is an advantage.

To apply, send us: a 700-word unpublished article written in our style, on any topic; a CV; and a short cover letter. Applications should be emailed to [email protected]. The deadline is October 31st 2025.

Our aim is to identify and develop future Katmandu Journal writers. Prior experience is not necessary, but the quality of your submitted article will matter most. Those selected will take on meaningful editorial work from the outset.
